I recorded a series of photos showing the process of larval emergence of Gynacantha subinterrupta...........
I caught this G. subinterrupta larva from a small shady standing water at the forest edge of Bangi Forest Reserve. This larva image was taken just six hours before the larval emergence. It is a male larva. The larva morphology of G. subinterrupta is not much different from that of G. basiguttata.
The emerging adult of G. subintterupta is on its way............
