Calopterygidae - Neurobasis longipes
Members from family Calopterygidae are always beautiful, particularly Neurobasis species. In Peninsular Malaysia, two Neurobasis species have been recorded, i.e. N. chinensis and N. longipes, and Neurobasis chinensis is more common than N. longipes. The obvious difference between these two species is that longipes has longer legs. So far, N. longipes has been recorded in northern part of Peninsular Malaysia. For Borneo, however, chinensis is absent. I was at Lanjak-Entimau last year, and I managed to snap some pictures of N. longipes.
